On a not so cold day as it could have been in November, I married my best friend, Carol. We were only 22 years of age, She was fresh out of college, and I was a working stiff. Our plans were that I would join the U.S. Navy, learn a new skill, stay 4 years, get out and set the world on fire. Well, it was a plan, maybe not a good one, but in the long run it worked out pretty darn good!
When I became a part of the Holmquist family in 1983, and I really never knew what I was getting into with their family.
My in-laws are great people. My Mother and Father in law are generous to a fault. They have taught their children (all five) that it is better to give than receive. Dee and Glenn have volunteered for as long as I have known them and for many years before I met them. If you ask any of there children they will tell you that they have always been involved with the community in one way or another.
Diane, Dennis, Kathy, Glenn, and Carol all, well educated, Dee and Glenn made sure of that, and all of them well respected in their professions. It is no wonder with parents like Dee and Glenn that they turned out to be the individuals that they are, I my humble opinion they are down to earth people with good values that will never change.
I have enjoyed my time as a member of the family, and hope the best for all of them. Please take a gander at the many photo's, and check back from time to time for changes.
